Didier Drogba, a Chelsea legend, scored a hat-trick in a charity match at the Orange Velodrome on Wednesday, October 13, against Marseille legends and Arsene Wenger’s Team UNICEF.
In a game in which Drogba was heavily involved among the goals, his team won 7-4 on the night. He scored the opening goal for Marseille legends and then earned his second, which was the equalizer for his team, bringing the score to 2-2.
The best was yet to come, as the former Chelsea star finished off his hat-trick in style in the 76th minute with a goal that seemed to turn the clock back.
And, as expected, he was showered with praise, particularly from Marseille fans online. Marseille fans adore Drogba, who played for the French club for a brief while before joining Chelsea in 2004. Drogba scored 32 goals in 55 games for Marseille in all competitions in the 2003/04 season before joining Chelsea.
