Abducted Umuahia Catholic Priest Freed after 10 days in Captivity

Rev Fr Chimezie was released unharmed, according to a statement written by the Catholic Bishop of Umuahia, Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji.

Bishop Ugorji also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to all bishops, priests, consecrated men and women, and the Christian faithful who assisted in prayers during the priest’s terrible and difficult captivity.

The message did not specify whether a ransom was paid before the priest was released.
