The news comes just weeks after preorder starlink sales were announced.
Customers interested in preordering the starter kits could do so for $600 for the hardware and $43 per month for subscriptions to the company’s services.
Starlink announced on its Twitter page on Tuesday that its service is now available in the country.
The notice says that while the hardware would cost N274,098, the subscription would cost N19,260.
“Starlink is now available in your area. Customers in your area typically experience download speeds ranging from 50 to 200 Mbps. “There are no contracts and a 30-day trial period,” the company stated.
“Shipping times from order are currently estimated to be 1 to 2 weeks… “Service costs N19,260 per month, and hardware costs N274,098.”
Isa Pantami, minister of communications and digital economy, confirmed the development and called it a watershed moment.
“We’ve done it again. @SpaceX, thank you for hosting me in your headquarters in the United States in December 2022 to finalize the deployment logistics,” he tweeted.
