In the recently concluded presidential and National Assembly elections, Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, defeated the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Bola Tinubu at the two Benue House gate Polling Units.

Also, Governor Samuel Ortom, the PDP’s Benue North West Senatorial District candidate, won in both polling units, as did Benjamin Mzondu.

According to the results of the Government House Arts Threatre Polling Unit 011 announced by the Presiding Officer, Bosede Benson, the LP presidential candidate received 137 votes, the PDP candidate received eight votes, and the APC received 59 votes.

In the senatorial election, the LP’s Mark Gbilah received 53 votes, the PDP’s Governor Sameul Ortom received 87 votes, and the APC’s Titus Zam received 74 votes.

In the House of Representatives elections, Mr. Benjamin Mzondu of the PDP scored 80 votes, the APC candidate, Mr. Dickson Tarkighir polled 80 votes while the LP candidate, Jerry Agbe garnered 52 votes.

Also, at Government House Protocol Polling Unit 022, the LP presidential candidate received 42 votes, APC 16 votes, and PDP 6 votes, according to the Presiding Officer, Chindo Jamila.

In the senatorial election, the PDP candidate received 25 votes, the LP received 15, and the APC received 22 votes.

The LP received 17 votes, the PDP received 24, and the APC received 20 votes in the House of Representatives election.
