A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share his experience with Elon Musk’s newly launched satellite internet service, Starlink. Starlink has recently announced the prices of its starter kits, just as preorder sales in Nigeria begin.

The development follows the company’s plans to roll out and expand its services to Nigeria this year.

According to the statement, interested customers can preorder the starter kits for $600 (more than N438,000 at the current parallel market exchange rate).

Customers will also pay $43 (N31,390) per month for subscriptions to Starlink’s services, according to Cable. “Order now to reserve your Starlink,” the statement says. Starlink anticipates expanding service in your region (Nigeria) in 2023.

“You will be notified when your Starlink is ready to ship,” the statement said. “Service is $43 per month, and hardware is $600.”
