Francisca Ordega joins Spanish club Levante on two-year deal

Francisca Ordega of the Super Falcons has signed a deal with Levante of the Spanish Liga Iberdrola. Ordega, who has represented Nigeria on five continents, is the most recent Nigerian female footballer to play in Spain. Rita Chikwelu, Ogoing to Chukwudi, and Osinachi Ohale play for Madrid CFF. Asisat Oshoala plays for Barcelona, Rashedat Ajibade for Atletico Madrid, and Rita Chikwelu, Ogoing to Chukwudi, and Osinachi Ohale for Madrid CFF.

“Her record also includes a first Iberdrola title and a second-place finish in the US championship. She has twice been named MVP of the African Soccer Championship and has been nominated for Best African Soccer Player in 2014 and 2018.”

Ordega has previously played for the Bayelsa Queens and Rivers Angels in Nigeria, Rossiyanka in Russia, Pittea in Sweden, and Washington Spirit in North America. She went on loan to Sydney FC (Australia) and Atletico Madrid while at Washington Spirit (Europe). She later relocated to Shanghai, China, where she played for the Shanghai Dragons (Asia).
