Breaking News: Nigeria declared polio free country.

Nigeria, a country with endemic polio zone, has gone three years without a case of polio virus.

Nigeria today had been confirmed to be polio free by the World Health Organization (WHO), following the completion of extensive documentations for three years without a case.

This was announced by the UN agency on its regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo via official twitter account @WHOAFRO.

In a tweet by Dr. Faisal Shuaib, Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), it is an amazing moment in history of our country Nigeria to have had our polio-eradication documentation accepted by (ARCC).

We thank our President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, and importantly the people who have made it possible through their financial contributions the likes of Mr Aliko Dangote, the CEO of Dangote Group of company and Mr Bill Gates, (Microsoft).
