We are gathered here today to say a heartfelt goodbye to my sister, Beverly Lynn Hollon, and the weight on our hearts is immense. We announce her passing at St. Francis on Monday, October 30, 2023, with great grief. It was her 65th birthday. Beverly was the beloved daughter of James and Martha McClintock. She was born on July 18, 1958, in Bedford, IN. Love, humor, and steadfast strength were all weaved into the tapestry of her life. We rejoice in her wonderful legacy while both lamenting her passing.
Beverly was a Haysville, Kansas, native whose devoted work at Cessna affected the lives of many. Her dedication to her career demonstrated both a strong work ethic and a desire to positively influence people around her. Her coworkers recall her as an inspiration and a light of kindness. When we think of Beverly, we think of a person who, despite all obstacles in life, epitomized resilience. Even though we lived far apart, our hearts were still very much linked. Beverly’s love had no boundaries; it was unconstrained by time and space.
We consider the happy memories that unite us as we bid our final goodbyes. Beverly left a lasting impression on us with her kind smile, contagious laughter, and unconditional love. She was more than just a sister; she was a companion, a confidante, and a source of strength. Agatha “Kay” Sipes, Beverly’s sister, and parents James McClintock and Martha Craig embrace eternity together. Even if their absence hurts a great deal, we find comfort in the knowledge that they are reunited in a place where grief has no power.
Let us keep in mind the teachings Beverly taught us during this difficult time of loss: the value of love, compassion, and tenacity. Her story is a moving reminder that family and love can endure no matter what obstacles we encounter. We cordially ask everyone who had the honor of knowing Beverly to join us in celebrating her life. May her soul lead us through the difficult times and encourage us to treasure the time we spend with our loved ones.
Let us take solace in the fact that those who knew and loved Beverly will always carry her memory with them as we lay her to rest. Peace be with you, sweet sister. Though we shall miss you terribly, your spirit will live on in the love that will bind us together forever and the memories we shared.
