The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who took the current Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will have their results released today.
According to the organization’s statement, those who took the test but encountered challenges without knowing it would not receive results, but rather notifications for rescheduled exams.

“Candidates in these categories are primarily those who were verified at their centers but were unable to sit for the examination, as well as those who could not be biometrically verified, as well as those with mismatched data,” JAMB clarified. You may recall that the Board scheduled the 2023 UTME for April 25 to May 2.”
“It is also worth noting that the Board had informed Nigerians that it would be using some novel innovative methods in conducting the exercise with the aim of completely arresting the incidence of examination infractions,” the examination body stated.

“This was largely achieved because the exercise had the fewest reported cases of infractions, but there were also emerging challenges due to human negligence, which resulted in some candidates being unable to sit for the examination on the first day.” Despite this, only 80,166 of the 1,586,765 candidates who expressed interest in taking the exam are still waiting.
“As part of the decisions made at the end of an emergency management meeting on April 30, the Board has set May 6 as the date for all categories of candidates who have not yet taken their examination.”
