Osimhen wins UEFA Goal of the Week Award

Victor Osimhen has been named UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week.

It is the first time the Nigerian international has won the award.

Fans voted Osimhen’s beautiful header in Napoli’s 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt as the best of the week.

In the Round of 16 second leg tie, the forward nodded home superbly from Matteo Politano’s cross deep into stoppage time.

In the second half, Osimhen scored Napoli’s second goal.

The 24-year-old was also nominated for the Player of the Week award, which was won by Erling Haaland of Manchester City.

Osimhen has four goals in five competition appearances for Napoli this season.
