The Nigerian striker went a little further in history after scoring in his sixth consecutive game with a beautiful strike against Cremonese last weekend.

He and Gonzalo Higuain were the only players for Napoli to score in six consecutive Serie A games; now that record has been broken, he is the only player to score in seven consecutive Serie A games.

I’ve exceed my expectations as a footballer Victor Osimhen

Osimhen’s goal against Sassuolo made him the first Napoli player in the three-point era (since 1994-95) to score in seven consecutive league games.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, his clubmate and strike partner, also set a new record by becoming the first player since 2006-07 to reach double figures in goals and assists in his debut season in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Victor Osimhen leads Serie A with 18 league goals in 19 games, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has 10 league goals and 9 assists in 19 games.
