Dr. Paul Enenche, the Founding Pastor of Dunamics International Gospel Center, advised the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday to do the right thing.
In a video that circulated on social media in the early hours of Sunday via the page of Paul Enenche, the General Overseer stated that failing to follow his advice will result in unimaginable consequences.
“Dear friends, we have witnessed an unusually stressful and challenging elections and vote casting process under very difficult conditions in most cases,” the speech begins. Yesterday, some people’s voting didn’t begin until around 1pm, due to various circumstances, but I witnessed patriotism, enthusiasm, and determination of our Nation’s citizens for a change of story like never before – record-breaking turnout crowds with a large number of first-time voters.
“Unfortunately, the human demons in our country and their evil agents in various parts of this country did not allow for a peaceful and just process in those places. With things at the helm of affairs at a certain unit, video recordings of their misdeeds were flying from Lagos, Rivers, Kogi, Anambra, and Abuja, among other places.
“In certain places, there was the report of more presidential ballot papers, but there were ballot papers for the senatorial and house of reps. Other places claimed that a particular party’s logo was not on the ballot papers at all. There have also been reports of thugs stealing ballot papers and underage viting of young children.” He stated.
“Despite all of the abnormalities cited, the people of Nigeria overwhelmingly expressed their choice of leadership through their votes,” he said in his warning message to INEC.
“INEC is strongly advised to do the right thing on time. The inability to upload results to the server; failure of results upload from BVAs machines; and delays in the arrival of results, particularly from the northern parts of the country, are all raising concerns.
” Please ensure that this is not a typical game. Every attempt to undermine the people’s will or frustrate the youth’s zeal will have unimaginable consequences. People have voted, and they are keeping track of their ballots. People have already received the results of their polling units, etc., as confirmed at the conclusion of the voting process.
“Do the right thing and go down in history with honor and dignity, or do the wrong thing and go down in history with shame thing and go down in shame, ignominy and infamy forever. God bless Nigeria.” He added.
