Britney Spears is finally free after a judge in Los Angeles overturned a 13-year legal deal that had control her life since 2008.
Following a court judgement on Friday, Nov. 12, the controversial conservatorship that had been in place for 13 years over the pop star’s personal and financial affairs came to an end.
For the first time in years, Spears has control over her estimated $60 million fortune and can make personal decisions for herself.
Following the historic court hearing in Los Angeles, the singer rushed to Instagram to share footage of #FreeBritney fans celebrating the end of her conservatorship outside the courthouse.
It was the “greatest day ever,” according to Britney.
She wrote: “Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy !!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!! Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen #FreedBritney.”
