BREAKING: Bandits kidnap scores of students in Bethel School, Kaduna

 

Suspected bandits raided Bethel Secondary School in Kaduna State’s Maramara Chickun Local Government Area on Monday morning and kidnapped scores of students.

The boarding school Bethel Secondary School is located on the outskirts of Kaduna.

Security forces had blocked off the area as of the time of writing this story, while parents and relatives of the kidnapped pupils gathered at the main entrance in a sad mood.

ASP Mohammed Jalige, the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Force, did not pick up his phone calls or respond to text messages sent to him.

“I narrowly escaped,” Mr. Daniel Muhuta, a security guard at the school, said. They arrived at 1 a.m. and started shooting. I was in the domentary at the back of the school when I heard gunshots and decided to pin down.”
