Governor Samuel Ortom, Senator George Akume, Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, and Senator Gabriel Suswam, Senator representing Benue North East, met today at the Presidential Lodge of Benue Peoples House, Makurdi, to discuss how to improve the security and development of Benue State.

Governor Ortom told reporters after the meeting that they were all worried about the state’s security and economic difficulties, so they got together to find solutions.

He remarked that they are all sons of Benue State and must work together to achieve its development, regardless of their political affiliations.

Senators George Akume and Gabriel Suswam echoed the Governor’s statements, adding that the state’s peace and prosperity are more important than personal gain.
