Nongov People applauds Ortom commitment to development in the State

The Nongov people of Guma Local Government Area in Benue State, appreciates his Excellency the governor of Benue State Dr Samuel Ortom and also passed a vote of confidence on his administration.

The Nongov people consists of academia, clergy, elders, youths converged at the New Banquet Hall of the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi to appreciate the governor for the giant strides he has recorded in the entire Nongov people.

Pledging their support, President General of Nongov, Benjamin Iwan, Tor Lobi who spoke on behalf of traditional rulers, HRH Chief Moses Anagende, Elders Joseph Iyorhon, Mr. James Dav, Sir Anyamkande Tseber who spoke on behalf of the elders, Mr. Moses Ugede and Mrs. Rose Zendesha who spoke on behalf of Youths, and also Rev. Jen for the clergy, all affirmed their unwavering support for the Governor Ortom administration.

Dr. Mrs. Magdalyne Dura, who spoke on behalf of Political appointees of Nongov extraction, and Dr. Terhemen Hwande for politicians all applauded the governor commitment to peace and for his sterling leadership qualities.

Responding, the governor appreciated them for the visit saying he was overwhelmed with the show of love and support he has received from his people in the nearly six years he has spent as governor.

The governor called on them to remain united so as to attract more development.

He promised to continue initiating programmes that will impact positively on the lives of the people of the State.

Guma Local Government Chairman, Caleb Aba Caleb applauded the people of Nongov for their support for the governor saying, their acts will create waves for the governor to do more for the people of the state.
